Hello! From teaching a poetry club with Chinese students to planning my school's Youth Day, creating educational spaces for people and students to grow and connect is my passion. I recently graduated with my Masters and am looking to apply my recently learned knowledge in the field.

My Path to Educational Programming
I vividly remember learning about the Australian Aborigines during my freshman year of high school. Learning about a group of people with such a different lifestyle left an impression on me. It also helped me realize there was a lot I still did not know. I spent my summers working at an internationally staffed summer camp, growing my interest in the greater world. I then went on a Semester abroad, worked with the study abroad office at my university, and joined the Peace Corps. Through work and interaction with people of various backgrounds, I felt myself grow. I started being more empathetic of people's differences, learning how to communicate without necessarily speaking, and making lifelong friends along the way. I now look to build these relationships for others as well through community-based programming and helping unlock the beauty in diversity that surrounds us.

MASTERS IN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION MANAGEMENT

During my time at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, I learned valuable skills including writing Program Logic Models and Marketing strategies, incorporating JEDI approaches to international education. These skills have led me to create inclusive programming that can best engage students.

August 2015 - May 2019
During my course load at the University of Tampa, I studied topics such as democracy, education, and religion. I not only got a great knowledge of the subject matter in these classes but communication skills on how to voice my thoughts.
SKILLS
Skills and abilities I have picked up over the years
AUDIO ENGINEER
I have been using audio equipment since the high school radio show days. I have since worked with media services groups, managing school technology, and have also run the audio equipment for many events.
COMMUNICATION
I have been the communication coordinator for several organizations on campus during my undergraduate and graduate studies, ensuring that the club and the public are aware of meetings and events.
ORGANIZATION
When dealing with a class of 70 students in Zambia having any form of organization is necessary to get the most out of your students. Using established research/resources and my multi-level lesson plans, I ensured that I was prepared for every class.
EVENT PLANNING
As the Program Manager at WUTT radio, I went above and beyond my duties by also planning events for the organization. I find pride in receiving input on how to best create a successful event and going through the proper channels to ensure funding and promotion.
