Youth Day 2020
Bringing people together is a great way to building community. Finding ways to foster and grow a community has always been something I have taken pride in. Youth day took place on my last day in village during the Peace Corps.

On the Nationally recognized holiday of youth day, the staff and I planned a day full of activities to culminate the great term the students had. We started with a display of the arts, where students had a chance to showcase their talents. Acts ranged from singing, poetry, rapping, and dancing. Followed by an eating competition where volunteer students had their chance to eat their way through 5 doughnuts in a head to head battle. Finally, the day ended with games of soccer and handball. Youth day gives a chance for adults to recognize the youth and inspire them for their future.
